Bergdorf Goodman celebrated its 111th Anniversary across the street from its flagship store at the Plaza Hotel last night. The ballroom was transformed in a kind of grey and cream dream store window, with cotton clouds the size of small cars floating overhead, comfortable couches, lobster sandwiches, champagne, cake, and at least one life-sized fake ostrich for decoration. But what made the evening truly pinch-me glamorous were the guests. I got to ask Carolyn Murphy, Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova, Rita Ora, and Petra Nemcova (that's them, left to right above) for the inspiration behind their looks—and the roll their designer dates played in getting ready.
